The ricca ricca*festival (formerly known as the Okinawa festival) is one of the most famous festivals for young audiences worldwide and will take place from 22 to 31 July in Tokyo and Okinawa. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Belgium and Japan, ricca ricca*festa 2016 hosts a BELGIUM FOCUS and invites five productions from Belgium: Destiny by Cie Karyatides / Gare Centrale, Los Yayos by Compagnie de la Casquette, raw by kabinet K, NOX by L’Anneau Théâtre and Petites Furies by Zététique Théâtre.
ricca ricca*festa (International Theater Festival OKINAWA for Young Audiences) is an international performing arts festival for children, young people and families which has taken place in Okinawa since 2005. Every year the festival invites about 30 outstanding productions from all over the world and also organizes international co-productions, residency programmes and symposiums. It is a popular summer event for local families, an active platform for artists and it attracts a lot of international presenters and professionals. The festival is directed by Mr. Hisashi Shimoyama.
