Get to know the scene in Denmark and Norway!
You are now able to register for ASSITEJ Belgium’s National Gathering, a perfect moment for networking and reflection! The national gathering will be linked to the General Assembly, that is open for all our members.
For this day, we have invited two Nordic guests, Ketil Kolstad (NO) and Louis Valente (DK). Ketil Kolstad is the general manager of ASSITEJ Norway and will explain us all about the scene of theatre for young audiences in Norway: who are the key players, how does the system work? Ketil will also speak about the international ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2019, that will be held during the SAND-festival in Kristiansand.
Louis Valente is secretary general of ASSITEJ International and works for both ASSITEJ Denmark and Teatercentrum, that organises among others the Aprilfestival. He will talk about the scene of theatre for young audiences in Denmark and its main structures.

The event will start at 10:00 (doors open and coffee 09:30) and end around 16:30
Before noon (10-11h30) – statuary part
- Approval of the books of 2017
- Presentation budget for 2018
- Planned activities in 2018 + needs of the members for 2019 and 2020
- Plans for the showcase
LUNCH (11h30-13h) + members explain what they are planning to do next season (new creations, festivals,…)
Afternoon (13-15h) – round tables/presentations

Registration is free but obligatory.
The gathering about ‘working with children and youngsters on stage’, that had been announced for May 20th, will be postponed because of practical reasons. We will definitely return to this topic on another occasion!
